the Dachau town council rejects such a building on the grounds that dealing with Nazi history would damage the town’s reputation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
the Bavarian Ministry of Culture submitted a compromise proposal to the Bavarian State Parliament that was intended to fulfil the interests of both sides. A “Dachau Youth Hostel” was to be created, consisting of a youth hostel and an educational centre. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
